Ahmedabad has no dearth of good hotels but what Radisson Blu scores over the other is with super location and good food. Conveniently located at just a 5-min walk from the famous Law Garden and the equally famous Khau Gali there.
How is the stay at Radisson Blu in Ahmedabad? Radisson Blu is not a very large hotel but has decent-sized rooms, with the basic amenities, a comfortable working area and a lounge chair – with enough space to move around. The bathroom has a separate WC with a door that blocks the same from the main bathroom. Good design. The amenities in the Ahmedabad hotels are definitely better than other Radisson Blu hotels though some of the standard stuff like Dental & Shaving Kit are on demand.
I had a complimentary 15 mins foot reflexology massage at the O2 Spa. I availed it after a 10km running on the treadmill and boy, did it feel good! A must-do, most definitely, when you are there.
How is the food at Radisson Blu in Ahmedabad? It had been a long day at Rajkot and after the 4 hour drive to Ahmedabad, I wanted to take it easy. And hence, ordered room service. Food was served in about 20 mins – the Red Snapper Steak, served on a bed of mashed potatoes and a lemon based sauce, was one of the best I have had. The Chocolate Trouffle deserts are sinful with warm white and dark chocolate dips!
Breakfast is elaborate at the Timpani restaurant, with live counters for Dosa and Eggs, good choice of regular Continental, Gujrati and South Indian items, excellent Danish pastries! Service is quick and with a smile.
The hotel boasts of the Great Kebab Factory and is a good draw too.
Final Word on Radisson Blu in Ahmedabad: It’s a good business hotel. Comfortable stay and adequate services is all that you need after a long day at work and while travelling. A good breakfast too. Which they, at Radisson Blu, ensure!
