Holiday in Shillong — Falling in love with her hills

Shillong Holiday -- Itinerary

Shillong is my hometown — was born there, and spent the first twenty-six years of my life there. I love everything about her. Her hills. Her trees. Flowers. Many many flowers. Her greenery. Her sunrises. Her sunsets. Her rains. Her crisp morning sun. Her fiery skies at dusk. Her tranquil, star-studded night sky. Shillong in balmy spring when new leaves take over. Shillong in autumn when trees go from green to yellow to brown to red. Shillong in April when Jacarandas render every place lilac. Shillong in November when Cherry Blossoms splatter every nook and corner with pink. Shillong during Christmas spreading love and cheer. Shillong in the rains when clouds, mist claim her.

Plan a trip to Shillong any time of the year — every season there is beautiful. And every season has its share of flowers.
